Many of us remember the devastation of the AIDS crisis in America, as it affected our friends, families, and caretakers. Early efforts to address the crisis were overwhelmed and exhausted by the sheer scope of the epidemic, as well as the discrimination and derision shown to us from the highest levels of our own government. But we persisted, organized, and came together as individuals, and through various organizations, to create HOPE, as we worked with dogged determination to help those who were suffering, and to find a cure.
The Life Foundation was one such group, and they had the incredible foresight and good fortune to hire Paul Groesbeck in the 1980s as their executive director. He brought impassioned vision and leadership to the organization as they sought to help our sisters and brothers who suffered from the devastating virus. Paul is now the longest serving executive director of an AIDS service organization in America, and he is retiring on December 31, 2017.
Lima Kokua invites you to join the Life Foundation in honoring Paul at a well-deserved celebration of his incredible career on November 3rd. Ticket and reservation information may be found at the link below.
Please join us in honoring a truly great man!
